1. The City of Prescott is accepting applications for the position of full-time Utility & Public Works Operator.

    The Operator will assist with performing all duties associated with the operation of a municipal water and waste water system, plant maintenance, laboratory testing, servicing lift stations, public works projects, snow removal, shop work, office work, public relations and assist with treatment plant operational compliance and reporting requirements of all governing agencies.

    High school diploma or equivalent degree. Prefer six months of experience within a utility department supplemented by trade school courses related to plumbing, electrical or mechanical; maintenance experience highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed. Eligible to possess (within three months) a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 5 years. Have or are able to obtain required water and wastewater certifications within nine (9) months. Be able to work in the on-call rotation. Wage range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

    Background check and health physical may be required.
