How to obtain a boat launch permit

The Prescott Municipal Boat Landing is open 24-hours a day, year-round, however there is no parking from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. in the municipal boat launch parking lot.
Seasonal permits, which are good to use for a year from the date of purchase through December 31st, may be purchased by mail or in person at Prescott City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Contact Us

Your mail-in request should include:

  • Current name and address of boat owner
  • Size and make of boat or watercraft
  • Current boat registration number
  • Payment in the form of check or money order made out to City of Prescott*
    *[We do not accept credit cards or debit cards as payment]

All requests for permits via mail will be processed the same day they are received.

Fees for a seasonal boat launch permit:

  • $25.00 - For boat owners who live within the city limits of Prescott.
  • $35.00 - For boat owners who live outside the city limits of Prescott.
  • One permit per boat or watercraft, please!

  • If you register more than one boat or watercraft and are going to use those additional crafts at the municipal boat landing, you may purchase a separate permit for each, or pay the daily boat launch fee.
