The City of Prescott strongly desires to expand further to the Northeast and encourages investment.

The Prescott Industrial Economic Committee (PIE) is concerned with promoting economic development in the City of Prescott as well. This covers industry and commerce within the city limits in the industrial parks such as  North Acres, and Prescott's new Business Center.  PIE's first project was the promotion, advertisement and development of a 19-acre area north of downtown Prescott.  The area is fully developed now and also location of the current Municipal Building.  Currently PIE is working on promoting the cities new Business Center located between U.S. Highway 10 and State Highway 29.  It is 90 acres and is zoned mixed industrial and commercial.  It has protective covenants in place and is located in a TIF district.  The committee meets on an as needed basis.  To contact them, please call City Hall at       715-262-5544.

The local phone company is Centurytel and to hook up a new line, change addresses, inquiries, or anything else, call their toll free number for business accounts 1-800-872-4017. 

Electricity is provided by Xcel Energy and their Business Solutions Center number is 1-800-481-4700.

St. Croix Valley Natural Gas provides natural gas service to Prescott.

Superior Services offers residential, commercial, and industrial refuse and recycling services. Please contact costumer service for any questions at recycling bin, contact city hall at 715-262-5544 and city hall will take care of it. 

The United States Post Office is located at 1001 Campbell Street North and their phone number is 715-262-5166.

To have water meter hooked up, change address or to get a final water meter reading, contact City Hall at 715-262-5544.

License Plates:
According to the new law of September 1, 1998, automobiles, trucks, dual farm and dual vehicles must have a temporary license plate.  Temporary plates can be obtained from the Prescott Police Department. Their hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon.
